Nordex SE has secured a significant 120 MW wind turbine order in Turkey, partnering with Balkesir Elektrik Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim ve Satis A.S., a subsidiary of Efor Yatirim. The contract involves supplying and installing 18 N175/6.X wind turbines for the R25-Balkesir-2 wind power plant, with delivery starting in March 2027 and commissioning expected by August 2027. This marks the third collaboration between Nordex and Efor, reinforcing their commitment to Turkey’s renewable energy expansion.

This order is a positive development for Nordex, although both companies’ stocks are currently down—Efor by 3.98% and Nordex by 2.05%. The project aligns with Turkey’s YEKA framework, which aims to bolster renewable energy production, potentially enhancing investor confidence in the sector as it moves towards sustainability goals.

Market professionals should note that while the immediate stock reactions are negative, the long-term implications of increased renewable energy projects could provide growth opportunities for companies like Nordex as they capitalize on the global shift towards sustainable energy solutions.
